About Our Parish

From the beginning that the barrio of Dau was established, the people have Saint Isidore, the Farmer, as their Patron Saint,  the reason being the barrio was a vast agricultural land.  From 1915 to the start of World War II there were only more or less 150 families residing in the barrio. The prominent families then were the Samson’s, Tiamzon’s, Dizon’s, Gutierrez’s, Santiago’s, Sison’s and Aguarins. 

The first ever chapel of the barrio was located in the then residence of Bro. Manuel Manabat, who would eventually be the Parish Pastoral Council President for many years, and to whom this brief history owes it’s source.  About the year 1932 the chapel was transferred to the location to where it stands today due to the generosity and efforts of the siblings Don Pedro Samson and Cecilia ( Apung Silyang ).

On October 1, 1955, the Chapel was elevated into  parish under the titulage of our Lady of Victory whose feast falls on the 7th of October,  by  the  then   Bishop  Cezar  Ma. Guerrero, DD       with  Fr. Fernando Franco as the first parish priest.

Today the parish of Dau is a sprawling metropolis with many residents  and business enterprises.  The church itself has become the heart of the barrio.
